Communications Specialist

From May 2021 through June 2025, I served as a Communications Specialist at Beacon Mobility, a growing transportation company supporting dozens of partner companies.

Working on a small communications team, I created and managed content across a wide range of channels. Among the areas of focus included employee communications, websites, newsletters, digital signage, video and social media. I helped launch and grow the company’s employee app, along with producing a monthly newsletter distributed across 30 partner companies.

My work combined strategic communications with hands-on content creation, including writing, editing, photography, graphic design, video production and website management.

Content Producer

For more than a decade, I have created engaging content across digital publications, websites, newsletters and industry media. As a result, I have helped organizations consistently educate audiences, while strengthening brands and growing readership.

My recent work has focused extensively on technology and transportation, translating complex topics into accessible, audience-focused stories.

In recent years, I have contributed articles to Church Facilities Conference & Expo and Worship Facility, from July 2025 to April 2026, as well as from May 2020 to October 2021. The pieces have included features on emerging technologies, leadership and trends affecting churches and faith-based organizations. During 2020-21, I also wrote frequently for the North Carolina-based rAVe Agency, writing pieces on audio, video and worship technology.

Previously, I served as Content Producer and Site Editor for Worship Tech Director. During that time, I coordinated the publication’s editorial strategy, wrote and edited daily content and managed freelance contributors. Following a site rebrand in 2016, website traffic increased by more than 130 percent over two years. During my tenure, the publication’s Facebook audience expanded from fewer than 1,800 followers to nearly 13,000.

Across these various roles, I developed expertise in content strategy, editorial planning, feature writing, SEO, audience engagement and digital publishing. A consistent focus, though, has been on creating content that resonates with readers and delivers measurable results.

Content Manager

In this role, I combined storytelling, content strategy and audience engagement to help the Technologies for Worship Magazine publication.

From 2020 through 2024, I regularly contributed feature articles for the site focused on audio, video, lighting and technology solutions for houses of worship. Beyond writing in-depth features, I helped support the magazine’s social media strategy, planning and scheduling content designed to increase engagement and expand audience reach.

My work required researching industry trends, interviewing subject matter experts, translating technical concepts into accessible content and ensuring a consistent voice across editorial and social channels. Through this experience, I developed expertise in content planning, digital publishing, social media management and audience-focused storytelling.

Content Marketing Manager

As Content Marketing Manager for 1 Beyond, Inc., I helped shape the company’s digital presence through strategic content creation, website management, email marketing and social media communications.

In this role, I developed and scheduled social media content, coordinated editorial contributions to industry publications and supported marketing efforts. I also managed the company’s WordPress site updates and created Constant Contact email campaigns. Across the various projects, I always ensured messaging remained consistent, engaging and aligned with business goals.

The position required balancing strategy with hands-on execution—writing and editing content, managing digital channels, collaborating across teams and creating communications that increased visibility and supported customer engagement.

My experience in this role strengthened my skills in storytelling, brand messaging, digital communications and multi-channel content strategy — capabilities that continue to inform my work as a communications professional today.

Copy Editor

My experience as a copy editor has helped sharpen my skills that remain central to my work today: clear communication, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines.

At the New Hampshire Union Leader, I designed and edited daily newspaper pages using Adobe InDesign, regularly producing four to six pages for publication each day. I also frequently served as a web editor, updating the newspaper’s website, editing articles, formatting HTML and managing photos to ensure content was accurate, engaging and published on schedule.

During the 2014-15 NFL season, I served as a copy editor for Patriots Football Weekly, for the New England Patriots. Throughout the season, concluding with the team’s reaching Super Bowl XLIX, I edited and proofread articles. Other work included crafting photo captions and refining headlines to maintain the publication’s editorial standards.
